Christmas Time

We had such a great Christmas this year! We got to spend time with both my side of the family and Aaron's which made everything perfect!! There are a ton of pictures here, so bare with me :)

Christmas Eve was spent at our house, just the 3 of us. I loved it! We didn't go to our Church's candelight service this year...there isn't any child care provided and we have learned from a previous experience that Carson isn't quite to the point where he can sit still for long periods of time. Maybe next year! But we had so much fun at the house!

Carson really wanted some "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake :) This is such a fun tradition that I am looking forward to doing each year with our kids!

Reading "The Night Before Christmas"...this is something my family always did growing up and we have carried this tradition over to our little family :)

Telling us all about baby Jesus! He has loved learning the true meaning of Christmas, and we have loved telling him all about the birth of his Savior!

Then we read the story of Jesus' birth from Luke. Carson actually listened to most of it!

Santa Came! All Carson wanted was this Mickey Mouse Tricycle...I couldn't wait to see his face when he saw it!

After we spent the morning at our house we headed to my parents house to open presents.

What a great Christmas we had! We are truly blessed to have such amazing family to share it with!!

A visit with Santa

Carson didn't really care for Santa this year :( He will talk about Santa all day long, and he was even excited when we were in line to see him, but when it was his turn to go sit on his lap Carson had a change of heart. He was so scared!! I felt like such a horrible mom making him sit there just for a picture...but I will look back on this picture year after year and be thankful that I did :)

This is the only good picture I got...all the rest are blurry because Carson was swinging his arms and kicking his legs to get away...poor thing!

A boy and his hat

Carson got a new hat the other day and just loves to wear it! He hardly ever takes it off! It came with a little pair of mittens (which Carson calls his "guvs"-so cute!) which are also a big hit...but its pretty hard to play without the use of your fingers :)

Here are a few pictures I took a few days ago. Carson is loving the Christmas tree! His absolute favorite thing to do is turn the lights on by pushing the button with his foot...he thinks he is such a big boy when we ask him to turn the tree on :)

Here Carson is with his new Rudolph! He never lets this thing out of his sight!!

And here are some pics of one of what was probably the last day this year to play outside without having to be all bundled up!

PS. I made Carson's tie t-shirt (its not perfect, but I think it gets the job done), thanks to my friend Robin! She has some girls over for a craft day and showed us how easy it is to make cute shirts for little ones :) So fun!!
