"It's Easter Time"

"It's Easter Time" was Carson's favorite thing to say this past weekend :) He had such a fun Easter this year! We started off the weekend by spending some time with my family and some good friends at the lake. Carson got to hunt Easter eggs and even got to dye eggs for the first time. After Church on Sunday Aaron and I took Carson to the park to play and to hunt eggs again (there is no such thing as too many Easter egg hunts when you are 2 years old!)

But my favorite part of the whole weekend was getting to listen to Carson tell the story of Easter. I read him an Easter book that we have and he followed along and was able to look at the pictures and tell the whole story back to me. Hearing Carson say "Jesus died on the cross because he loves me" just melts my heart! I love that sweet little man so much! I am so glad Aaron and I are able to teach him what Easter is really all about. Sure, the Easter bunny and candy are great, but the death and resurrection of our Savior is the only thing that is worth celebrating!

Carson's first egg hunt of the weekend

He shook every egg before he put it in his basket...I guess he wanted to make sure he wasn't getting ripped off :)

We discovered Carson has a love for jelly beans!

He had fun dying eggs!

Here are Carson's 4 eggs :) He was so proud of himself!

After Church on Easter Sunday

Carson had a blast at the park!

When did he get big enough for the big boy swings??

Notice that Daddy got out of his Church clothes...and he is wearing Nanny's favorite t-shirt...

Another Easter egg hunt!

I love this one!

We hope everyone had a great Easter!!

Train Rides and Duck Ponds

Last Saturday Aaron and I decided to take Carson over to Ft Worth to ride a little train through a park there. He was so excited to get to ride on a real train! As much as he liked the train ride, his favorite thing was the popcorn we got for the ride back to the car :)

Carson and Daddy waiting for the train to come

I just love this sweet face!

So excited to board the train!

This was the moment Carson discovered his love for popcorn :)

After the train ride we headed over to a duck pond to feed the ducks and explore a little!

We had such a great family day!! I love getting to watch my little man have so much fun!

Bluebonnets

I took Carson out to see the bluebonnets again this year. He really enjoyed it! I didn't take too many pictures because it was super windy that day!! But here are some of my favorites!
